If we learned one thing from this awful pandemic, it's that nature nourishes, and the outdoors are a safe and healing place for gathering, recreating, and reflecting.

But we also know that Michigan is not immune to climate change. Heavy rains. Floods. Drought. Heatwaves. We are experiencing these now. And there will be more to come.

Because Michigan is not immune to climate change.

That's why we've created this space. Because we, like you, want to understand not only the science, but also the human stories about how climate change is impacting the Mitten State's cities, nature, and people.

We'll be bringing you guides, news, interviews, profiles, personal narratives, essays, and more, all in the service of better understanding what climate change means to Michigan.

We're poking our heads in here today to say "Welcome," and please subscribe for free. We'll be officially launching Sept. 1.

And drop a line in the comments below to let us know what you'd like to see here.

We'll see you soon — out there!
