Lynelle Herndon is a Detroit Documenters coordinator at Outlier Media. She is also an urban farmer and gardener who was awarded funds through the Detroit Black Farmer Land Fund. She closed on her property in August 2021. This is her first published article.
After living in Japan and traveling across Asia, Randiah Camille Green realized Detroit will always be home. And when she says Detroit, she's talking about the hood, not the suburbs. She currently reports for Detroit Metro Times and has bylines in Planet Detroit, Bridge Detroit, BLAC magazine and Model D. Her favorite pastimes are meditating on the purpose of life and scribbling existentialist poetry.
