Stella Hughes

Stella Hughes is a young Hamtramck poet. She writes poetry as an attempt to form this confusing life into comprehensible words. Stella is inspired by music, her family full of artists, and her incredibly strong and passionate friends. She has recently found joy and satisfaction as a poet and hopes to continue writing and performing throughout all of her life.

Stella is a member of the 2023 InsideOut Youth Advisory Board. With InsideOut she has had the opportunity to perform poetry at places such as the Detroit Auto Show on the Toyota Stage, and the Detroit Public Theater during the InsideOut Poetry Conference.

In her free time Stella likes to study Korean, listen to music, and hang out with her cat.
