Michigan Senate committee pushes forward on Momnibus package to tackle maternal health gaps

The Michigan Senate Committee on Housing and Human Services has passed a package of eight bills aimed at addressing racial disparities in maternal healthcare, which includes measures to track and report biased perinatal care, create a patient reporting system for obstetric racism, and expand civil rights protections to include pregnancy and lactation status.
