Weam Namou is an Eric Hoffer Award–winning author of more than 20 books and the founder and CEO of Unique Voices in Films, a nonprofit dedicated to elevating underrepresented stories. An internationally recognized filmmaker, journalist, and poet, her two feature films have earned over 60 global awards. She wrote and directed "Pomegranate," the first Iraqi American narrative feature, released in 25 countries in March 2025, and in 2024 she received a Kresge Arts in Detroit Fellowship for Directing.
